Project Engineer

Project Engineer – Fusion Packaging – NY Sales Office
 
• Lead design and package development projects with the company’s cosmetics customers to support sales team in new business opportunities.
• Support Fusion sales team with cosmetics accounts by demonstrating company capabilities in design, manufacturing, and decorating technologies directly with customers’ Package Engineering, Procurement and Marketing groups.
• Call on accounts both with sales representatives and independently to initiate and develop new
projects in collaboration with customer’s new product development teams.
• Capture customer needs and requirements and provide creative solutions in terms of company
stock offerings and by offering custom design and innovation solutions.
• Involves creating and managing solutions with Fusion Design, NPD, OPS, ENG, QC and running projects with Fusion sales and with our customers.
 
Requirements:
 
• 7-10 years in beauty or CPG packaging with a strong understanding of plastics technology and
manufacturing capabilities
• Ability to sketch, draw and illustrate concepts is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred
• Ability to assess drawings in SolidWorks or PRO-E is required
• Capability to manage complex projects from design to implementation
• Knowledge of decoration technologies is necessary
• Adept at creating, proposing and selling solutions to Fusion’s customers
• Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships
• Free to work unencumbered by a previous non-compete agreement
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Travel (domestic & international) required (>30%)
